The residents lounge
The resident's lounge is east facing and the morning sunshine streams in for breakfast. The three windows are framed with clematis and show the resident's garden and the field beyond. Perhaps ‘Tintin’ and ‘Sprices’, 12 and 24 respectively, will be eating their breakfast too. These are the neighbouring horse and pony in residence … And Jamie my son will ask you to guess who is who when you get here.
In this lounge we have an iron double-door wood-burning stove, deep brown leather settee and matching dinning furniture. The large screen TV and DVD player, plus games, books and magazines, will keep you entertained on inclement evenings and when your feet refuse to venture further.
In winter, we do resident’s dinners on prior request. And then candlelight fills this warmly toned room bouncing off the orange and russet hues.
